Covehithe... A lovely day out.

Today we decided to take a trip out to the coast, Covehithe is a beautiful and unusual beach in suffolk, the coastline is so eroded that there is a long walk along cliff tops down to the beach.

It was so nice to get wrapped up warm and cosy and have a long walk in the beautiful afternoon sunshine. Harry really enjoys being outside just like his parents and despite getting very cold we all had lots of fun!

On one side of the beach there is the sea and on the other there is a beautiful fishing lake (pictured above) the contrast in the choppy waves vs the millpond flat lake is beautiful. Peace and quiet the one side and the sound of crashing waves on the other.

So many of the trees have either died and fallen off the cliffs or are just left on the beach below. And although the trees are dead they still have such a beauty about them.

I hope that you have all had a wonderful New Year's Eve and a fabulous new year. Our start to the new year is wonderful.

I wish you all a happy healthy 2015 and I'll see you next year!

If you go down to the woods today....

Today we have had the first "normal" day after the Christmas period (sad face that Christmas is over)
We spent the morning at home as we hadn't had a calm morning at home for nearly a week! Harry has been napping our bed over the Christmas period as its a treat so he needed to get back into sleeping in his cot in his own room before we do the big change to him sleeping in his own room at night next week! (This is so bittersweet)

After our nice calm morning of taking naps, doing some jobs, drinking coffee and generally relaxing we headed off to our local forest for a long walk with our three dogs. It's been a gorgeous day here in norfolk, cold and bright. We put Harry in his baby carrier (that kills my shoulders) he absolutely loves the outdoors just like his mummy and daddy.

I absolutely love days like these, the no makeup, no fuss just family days. These days are the ones I cherish most, the ones I will look back on and smile when I'm an old lady.

The dogs had a great time, going to the Forrest is just an excuse for the dogs to be naughty somewhere else!

The husband took his camera (all pictures on my blog are taken by him) and took this very serious yet handsome selfie.

I hope that for those of you who are back to work that your work days aren't too bad, and for those who are still off work or stay at home parents like me I hope that you are still enjoying some of the Christmas feeling, I know I certainly am!

As always I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post, please feel free to comment, I'd love to know what you lovelies have been up to.

I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas, I certainly did, and I was spoilt rotten by my husband and the rest of my family. The first Christmas as a mummy was perfect. Especially watching Harry play with wrapping paper! So today is Boxing Day and here is my OOTD.

Today we went to southwold for a long walk along the beach. It was so busy at the beach everyone seemed to have had the same idea as us!

Here I am wearing a jumper from White Stuff, jeans are forever skinny 1969 from gap. My hat is also white stuff and my boots are from Clarks.

I hope you all had a lovely Boxing Day,

Selfie Saturday

So this is just a short blog post of my selfie Saturday, I'm thinking of making this a regular slot on the blog, let me know what you guys think and if you would like to see more of this sort of thing!

Firstly let me apologise for my very squinty eyes it was incredibly sunny this Saturday.

Here I'm wearing a jumper from white stuff, jeans are Gap 1969 forever skinny and boots are from a company called sharopody, underneath my jumper I am also wearing a long sleeved Tshirt from white stuff's basic range.

Allthough it was super sunny it was freezing cold and I was glad to get back inside in the warm, and then off out for lunch with my gorgeous family and in laws.

Here is a pic from while we were out at lunch.

I hope that you have all had a wonderful weekend, and have a lovely week.

Catch up with you soon lovelies

Favourites of 2014

I thought that over the last couple of weeks of 2014 that I would blog about some of my favourites of the year.

I'm going to start with something that my husband got me for last Christmas. My Red Carpet Manicure Gel Polish Pro Kit. I love love love LOVE this product!

For as long as I can remember I have loved having my nails painted, however living in the countryside and being horse obsessed from the age of two it's been rather difficult to keep my nails looking as I would like them too. Over the years I have paid £25 plus once every two weeks for professional gel nails, I gave up doing this when I was living on my own with my horse and my dog (the horse didn't come in the house!) and money was tight. When my husband and I first started seeing one another I began painting my nails once more, and then that Christmas he got me the Gel Polish Pro Kit by Red Carpet Manicure, and my nails changed forever! I can now have painted gel nails 100% of the time.

So in this time life has changed allot, but these gel nails have stood up to horses and babies! And even giving birth where I was in a birthing pool for hours! On average the gel lasts between 10-14 days depending on how OCD I'm being or how quickly my nails grow.

This Gel nail kit is easy to use and affordable, the different colours are around the same price as other high end nail varnishes like OPI and Essie (both I love) the kit comes with easy to follow instructions and its fool proof. I was shocked at how easy it was to apply the first time and I am by no means an expert in painting my nails (in fact quite the opposite!) I cannot sing the praises of this kit more, I am a busy mum of one and don't get much time to do my nails and the nails certainly get tested!

If you like having your nails done then I would really recommend looking into purchasing the Red Carpet Manicure, Gel Polish Pro Kit. They have both a UK and a USA web address to make things easy.

I hope you've enjoyed this blog, and I hope that if you decide to try this out that you are as happy with it as I am!

I would also like to say that I haven't been paid to do this as an advert this is purely my opinion from using it myself for the past year.

A Christmas affair...

Today we went to our local towns Christmas fair, it was a beautiful bright sunny day (freezing cold though!) it was an absolutely lovely day filled with mulled cider beautiful crafts and even a hog roast. I adore this time of year, it always feels as though everyone is truly happy and excited awaiting Christmas.

It was lovely to walk around all the stalls selling beautiful homemade gifts and crafts. There was a real buzz of Christmas in the air.

The food on sale was also fabulous, one of our favourite food shops (above pic) had some lovely Christmas foods that were very tempting indeed!

We ended our afternoon out by visiting the ducks on the mere, they are very friendly due to the amount of food that they get given! Harry really enjoyed watching the ducks too!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend filled with Christmas cheer and excitement, unfortunately Harry has a stinking cold so we shall be staying wrapped up warm at home for the next few days.

Have a lovely week lovelies xoxo

Christmas is here!

Christmas has reached our home, I'm so excited for this Christmas as its our first Christmas with our baby boy. We went out today to choose our Christmas tree, it was a bright and sunny day (it's been grey and miserable all week so this was a  welcome change) it was so lovely picking our tree as a family.
This is the husband waiting to have our tree wrapped and ready to bring home.
This is our tree in situ, we are just waiting for it to "drop" before decorating it. There is something so lovely about having a real tree, the smell is wonderful.
Christmas in our home is simple this year, all the family is coming to us, so we can all enjoy watching our little one open his gifts.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend preparing for Christmas.

Here goes...

Hi, hello and welcome, I'm not 100% sure how to start this, I'm new to this blogging lark and after much thought about doing this (about 3 years) I have finally decided to go for it and start my very own blog. So here goes.

Id like to start this by saying any opinions or products I mention on this blog are purely my own. I also dont wish to offend anyone with anything that I write, and please be patient with me as I'm new!

I will start by introducing myself, my name is Sophie I am a happily married mother of one. This blog is going to be a place where I talk about my life as a mother and a wife, things that I do and products that I have used. I hope to cover subjects to do with motherhood, beauty and ways to be happy with the simple things in life, and just general life really I suppose.

My aim is to blog twice a week to begin with, as a mother of a 6 month old baby boy I don't have much time to sit and write, however over the coming weeks I hope to increase my blog posts to keep up with whatever my audience wishes to read  (If anyone wishes to read it! so far I think my main audience will be my husband and I'm not sure that counts!)

So if you have read this thank you, and I will be back very soon with something more interesting, So hi, hello and welcome stay tuned and I will speak to you again soon.
